Wild peace silk bundle dyed with wild violets and then botanically dyed again with the snow from February 2021. Colors include a range of soft turquoise, greens, and ochre. Wild peace silk begins as cocoons gathered in the forests of India where the silk worms enjoy living full life cycles. It has a linen-like texture and softness.

Plant dyes are living color and many steps are followed to ensure their longevity. Best care includes not exposing them to prolonged direct sunlight, and avoiding acidic liquids. Hand wash only if necessary with a pH neutral soap.  

These pieces took three weeks to complete.
